Family Nurse Practitioner Bio

I am a Family Nurse Practitioner. I finished my BSN in 1994 and my MSN in 1997 at the University for Women in Columbus, Mississippi. I received my LPN licensure in 1980 at East Mississippi Community College. I completed my Associate of Nursing in 1984 at Itawamba Community College. I completed my PHD in Health Administration at Kennedy Western University in 2001. I spent most of my nursing career in Emergency Medicine and Orthopedics. While in Orthopedics, I worked mainly in surgery as a circulator and a first assistant. I have taught nursing and was the Chair of the Nursing program for 3 years. I have also enjoyed a time in urgent care. I have recently completed training in platelet enriched plasma injections, and I am completing a certification in Botox, both of which are considered a part of rejuvenation medicine. My first love is people. I am married with a daughter and a son-in-law. I have 3 wonderful grandchildren. When I am not working at Georgia Interventional Medicine, I enjoy my grandchildren, gardening, tennis, and the beach.
