Certified Medical Assistant

Georgia interventional Medicine, a rapidly growing medical practice is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant in providing care for patients. The ideal candidate will preferably have a background in interventional Pain, Personal Injury, and experience working with eClinicalWorks EMR system. Our practice is dedicated to evaluating and treating acute pain throughout the state of Georgia.

Position Description

The MEDICAL ASSISTANT will provide support to the Medical Director and have direct one-on-one contact with patients. In addition, preparing patients for examinations and/or treatments, starting IVs, data entry, and other duties are assigned as needed. The MEDICAL ASSISTANT reports to the Back Office Manager.


  • Triaging patient's including medical history, HPI, vital signs.
  • Pregnancy tests and glucose test
  • Starting IVs
  • Clean and restock rooms
  • Assist nurse practitioners
  • Post-op


  • Ensure patient charts are prepped one week in advance
  • E-prescribing or calling in prescriptions
  • Medical records request, scan in confirmations
  • Following up with medical clearance
  • Post-Op calls Some CPT and ICD coding in EHR
  • Answers nurse calls properly document and address
  • Referrals, and following up with the patients

Position Requirements

Applicants must be proficient in computer skills, time management, written and oral communication, attention to detail, confidentiality, ability to prioritize and the discretion to know when to act independently and when to ask for guidance.
